Founded in 1876, the American Chemical Society (ACS) is now one of the largest scientific and technological societies in the world, with more than 163,000 members. Over the years, ACS has been committed to providing high-quality literature, information and services to chemical research institutions, enterprises and individuals around the world. It has also provided multi-faceted professional support in   the fields of science, education and policy, and become a world-renowned scientific and technological publishing institution. ACS journals are ranked as the most frequently cited chemistry Journal in the field of chemistry by the ISI Journal Citation Report(JCR).

ACS electronic journals currently include 75 journals covering more than 20 subject areas such as environmental science, materials science, environmental engineering, agriculture, organic chemistry, and general chemistry and  so on.
